What is ICN?

For over 30 years Iowa Children's Network has been connecting children's ministries, serving the needs of local churches and hosting summer camp. In the years of ICN; many calls have been solidified, many Christians have been Spirit-filled and many have responded to God's saving grace offered in Christ. We believe in the power of cooperation among members in the body of Christ and deeply value connection with others of like precious faith. Please reach out if you are interested in connecting with the network of churches in ICN!

Annual Summer Camp

Each summer, our network of churches gather together at Hidden Acres for several days of summer camp fun and Spirit-filled ministry. The days are filled with chapel services, cabin devotionals, specialized workshops, group games, gym and water play; all surrounded by a beautiful camp with high quality facilities and food. Registration opens in early spring, please consider sending your children's ministry to camp with us!

Testimonials

What others have to say about ICN.
Former Camper, McCartney Shilhanek

Camp has always been a place that I feel most at home and at peace in my relationship with God. It has always been a time where I've been able to set everything aside to focus on God and His plan for me. Another huge blessing of camp is the formation of friendships. The people I've met through camp lift my spirit and speak words of encouragement to support me in times of need. These lifelong friends have helped me so much as I've grown closer to God!

Counselor, Kelly McKinney

I fell in love with kid’s camp and what it represented and how this program touched the lives of so many children.  All of the adults work so hard to put together the lessons, the activities, the schedule, and the message to reach all the kids and touch their lives. ICN gives kids hope when they feel hopeless, lets kids know they are loved, that they are special, and that they matter.

Former Camper, Morgan Jaspersen

ICN was pivotal in teaching me how to build a firm foundation for my faith and relationship with the Lord. My camp experience helped connect me with young people who shared my faith and with leaders who have continued to encourage me throughout the years. I still look back on the teachings from ICN when I was eight years old and apply the preaching and scripture to my life today.

Pastor, Bill Tvedt

I highly value the extreme creativity in communicating the spiritual truths of the gospel at ICN, whether it be the new birth or the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Our kids come back home changed by truly authentic Spirit and Word ministry.

Questions & Answers

Here are some answers to common questions.

ICN is all about partnership between local churches in Iowa and surrounding states. The best place to start is with your church's pastor or children's ministry leader calling Pastor Isaak Wangler at (515)386-8347 or emailing almjefferson@me.com so that we can start the conversation about you coming into our network. ICN is not like a conference you attend as another face in the crowd; we are a community of churches that know, value and support one another. Let's get to know each other, contact us today!

In order for a church to attend our camp, we require one counselor for every six campers being sent. All campers and counselors must complete our online registration prior to the close of late registration and have their full camp balance paid prior to the start of camp.

The ministry during ICN camp chapel sessions is lead by the Holy Spirit and comes directly from the Bible. Some of the truths often emphasized during past camps are things such as; being born again, 3 parts of mankind (spirit, soul & body), renewing the mind, prayer, walking in the Spirit, overcoming the enemy, fruits of the Spirit, the leading and filling of the Holy Spirit.
