Kris has been attending Abundant Life Ministries for 28 years after receiving Jesus at a Women of Life meeting. Her husband Mike's parents and grandmother were attending at the time and became a bridge connecting their family to ALM. Their three sons; Justin, Nick and Joe were raised coming to church at ALM while growing up on the family farm where the Bensons own two large hog facilities and farm acres of corn and soybeans. They now have the joy of serving in church alongside their oldest son, Justin and his wife Princess, who are involved in children's ministry and ushering.
Kris currently serves as ALM's preschool director, leading the team of teachers for children age 3 - kindergarten. Over the years Kris has also been involved in nursery and children's ministry, but the preschool age continues to be her favorite group to teach God's Word.
